    A weekend of service and fellowship at Spanish Trail Scout Reservation. This is a no cost event to all those in the STSR Alumni Community and Scouting Community of the Gulf Coast Council. All meals on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday comes at no charge to those that volunteer! Check - In starts at 8:00am and work will start at 9:00 am on Saturday December 10th.

    Major project goals for the weekend include work towards the completion of and improvement on the STSR trail system.  Completion of the new Trading Post Picnic Area and electrical improvements around STSR.  Further work towards the improvement and renovation of latrines around STSR. Potentially even more projects with your help! 

    If you are interested in leading a project or have a skill set that will be useful in the betterment of our camp please contact STSR Alumni Director of Service Thomas Gary at service@spanishtrailalumni.org

    If you are wanting to participate in our event meal plan breakfast, lunch and dinner and have a food allergy please contact STSR Alumni Director of Program Lisa Lane at program@spanishtrailalumni.org

    **** Please note that funding for materials for this workday has come from many donors and the Spanish Trail Scout Reservation Alumni Association. All funds donated to the Alumni Association will go towards the support and improvement of STSR, donations received will NOT go towards administration costs.****

    Join us for our Annual Business Meeting!

    We will go over the past year for our Association including projects worked on and completed, the financial standing of our Association, and overall outlook for our Association for 2023.  During this meeting we will in addition go over proposed bylaw changes received by the general membership. For all dues paid Alumni dinner will be provided and only dues paid Alumni Members can vote on any proposed bylaws. There is no need to register if you are already attending the December  Friends of STSR Weekend of Service. 

    Association dues paid members have already received notice of this meeting as well as proposed bylaw changes. Additional reminders will be sent out in the coming days. 

    Proposed Bylaw Changes:

    Joining membership criteria change, from staffing only during a summer camp at STSR and over 18 years of age. To allowing members to join who are over the age of 18 and who have staffed three full weekend events at STSR during a calendar event (would be signed off by each event Program Director) or volunteered 40 hours of service to STSR during a calendar year (would be signed off by the Camp Ranger or Camp Caretaker) or have had staffed one week of Summer Camp.
